There have been many reports of people running X11 on laptops having problems with 'rreppeattingg kkeeyys..'.
Usually this only happens while in X11, and not on the system console. After some reading, googleing and digging I found out that specifying:

in the XF86Config-4 configuration file solves the problem. I don't know what cool functionality gets disabled by specifying this XkbDisable option, since I do not notice ANYTHING different in comparison to my other systems running with Xkb enabled.
